Cambridge Montessori School is dedicated to providing the highest quality Montessori education in Fort Bend County, with our Montessori Certified teachers and Montessori trained assistants. Our objective at CMS is to create an atmosphere that promotes a love of learning and to educate children to be caring, socially responsible citizens of their community and the world. We offer progressive educational programs from 12 months through 1st grade as well as an After School program up through 5th grade.

Cambridge Montessori School seeks to educate the whole child, applying the Montessori philosophy, in a family-oriented environment. The philosophy is based on the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori (1870-1952) whose holistic vision of education focuses on the cognitive, social, emotional and physical needs of the child. For Dr. Montessori, and for CMS, education is preparation for life.
The Montessori methods were first introduced in the early 1900's by Italian physician, Dr. Maria Montessori. Dr. Montessori wrote, “The most important period of life is not the age of university studies, but the first one, the period from Birth to the age of Six.” Montessori thought is that if we want self-directed children, we can not have teacher-directed classrooms. If the desired end product is independent thinking, the means must be independent learning. Therefore, the goal of early childhood education should not be to fill the child with facts from pre-selected courses of studies, but rather to cultivate his/her own natural desire to learn.

Thank you so much for attending our annual
Thanksgiving Feast! We hope you enjoyed the
quality time you had with your child. We are
also incredibly appreciative of how generously
you donated to our Food Drive and to The
American Cancer Society. Thank you so much
for contributing to these worthy causes.


December is another busy month at CMS. The
Holiday Program Recording for Wobblers will
be on December 17th. The Holiday Program for
Toddler, Transition, and Primary Classes is on
December 12th from 9:30 am –12 pm. Details
will be shared via email soon.


The Holiday Party is scheduled for Dec 19th,
which is for children only. We also have a full
week of holiday themed spirit activities
planned during Dec 15th-19th that are listed
on the left side under “events.”


As a reminder, CMS will be closed from Dec
24th-January 1st for ALL students. We will
reopen on Jan 5th, 2026. We wish all of you
a joyful and blessed holiday season!
